30 minute group exercise - Practice your pitch in a group and get peer to peer feedback.
3:00PM: PART FOUR - Mentor Feedback Session
Learn to calm your nerves and pitch in front of mentors who are either veteran entrepreneurs, investors, pitch trainers, etc. You will also receive professional guidance on how to perfect your elevator pitch.

Michael Blakey, Managing Partner, Cocoon Capital
Since becoming an angel investor in 2000 through Avonmore Developments which he co- founded with his brother, Michael has invested in over 25 companies in the UK and achieved 9 successful exits. Since 2013 he’s been investing in SE Asia and most recently co-founded Cocoon Capital, an early stage fund, which is looking to invest in companies throughout SE Asia. During Michael’s career he’s been named ‘UK Angel Investor of the Year 2015’ by the UK Business Angel Association, selected as one of the ‘Maserati 100’ and voted by AngelsNews into the list of ‘Business Angels You Should Know’. These accolades were not attributed to Michael only in recognition of his successful investments, but for the relentless support he gives to the founding and management teams of the companies he invests in as well as his generous contributions over the years towards building the startup and investor ecosystem.

Helen Chen, Business Planning & Operations, Manager Facebook and Committee Member at BANSEA
Currently at Facebook’s Business Planning & Operations group, Helen focuses on maximizing business performance by being an advisor to the Sales organization – through strategic planning, shaping and executing go-to-market strategies, and implementing operational excellence across Southeast Asia. Prior to this, Helen was part of a team managing a global distressed debt and equity portfolio >$5b in AUM, including special situations, restructuring, and liquidation cases. Outside of work, Helen is an angel investor and committee member at BANSEA (https://www.bansea.org/), and has also been a mentor and advisor to various funded start-ups across Asia-Pacific.
Alan Hellawell, Partner at Alpha JWC Ventures
Alan Hellawell has been intimately involved in the Asian internet and e-commerce space since 1995. He has served in a variety of leadership positions, both within industry in operational positions, and as the head of TMT research in investment banking. Alan most recently served as Sea’s (NYSE: SE) Group Chief Strategy Officer, based in Singapore; with responsibilities for key partnerships, in-bound and outbound investment and M&A, investor relations and other areas. Alan has worked regularly with management across other leading global platforms such as Alibaba, Tencent, Google, Facebook, Amazon and Paypal; in addition to the region’s leading PE, VC and investment banking firms. Alan prior to this managed Deutsche Bank’s Asia TMT research group for 11 years based in Hong Kong. Alan supported many of China’s largest internet companies from their early, private stages through IPO and beyond. He maintains long running “CxO-level” relationships with dozens of leading names in the space. Prior to his role at Deutsche Bank, Alan held positions at Lehman Brothers, Lucent Technologies and Netscape Communications. Alan currently mentors a number of Southeast Asian internet start-up’s. Alan graduated from Stanford University with a Masters in Business Administration and Masters in East Asian Studies. Alan also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Princeton University.
Pamela Puja Kirpalani, Founder of Inner High Living and NLP Corporate Communications Trainer & Consultant
Pamela Kirpalani is an International NLP Master Practitioner, Trainer & Consultant, and Neuro-Coach. Apart from being an avid fan of the Positive Human Psychology movement, she is certified by ABNlp (Australian Board of Neuro-Linguistic Programming), IEMT (Integrated Eye Movement Technique) Practitioner, member of the APSS Singapore (Asia Pacific Speakers Society) and the NLP Association of Singapore. She has developed her Corporate Training & Enrichment Programs based on an integration of experiences through NLP and Business Management. She hails from the esteemed King’s College London and more recently Harvard University in Leadership Studies. She also has extensive experience clocked in the Investment Banking world, having worked in M&A with Ernst & Young. She has also written about Psychology of Language and Communication, for local and international publications, such as Elephant Journal, Deccan Herald, SassyMama Singapore, Executive Lifestyle, Health Begins with Her and more.
Daniel Huang, CFA, Startup Lead at FundedHere
Daniel is the Director of Business Development of FundedHere. An engineer by training, finance by trade and always an entrepreneur at heart. Prior to joining FundedHere, Daniel was a Director of Portfolio Management at a family office, managing a long/short global beta-hedge equity portfolio utilizing a systematic and quantitative driven investment process. Prior to that, Daniel was in the investment advisory team with DBS Private Bank. There, he advised High Net Worth Individuals on various financial instruments such as equities, fixed income, derivatives and structured products. Daniel is a CFA ® charterholder and he graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Honours Degree in Material Engineering and a Minor in Entrepreneurship. He is also a Certified Financial Planner and a Chartered Financial Consultant.
Ian Gan , Founder and Owner of Seed Ventures
Mr Ian Gan is actively involved as business-competition judge, startup mentor and adjunct lecturer in local and foreign universities such as SMU, NUS & MIT. In 2016, Mr Ian was bestowed the "Institutions of Public Character" award for Entrepreneurship. Professionally, he is the owner of SEED Ventures, a venture capital firm that invests in startups.
